Up among the trees

There's been a sudden reappearance of summery weather out here along the river (sunny, breezy with high's in the 80's just before Memorial Day).  I love all of the seasons but each one feels like my favorite as it rolls in; you can still feel spring in the area but it's giving way to summer quicker than a blink.  We are, however, experiencing it in a slightly different way now that we are back home and 10 feet off the ground.  We always loved the river view but we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in what feels a little bit like a tree house suspended among 100 year old Sycamore trees.  (Sycamores are actually not native to our area but our fellow water-lovers feel like old friends that belong here as much as the sweet Maples). :) Here are some pictures of the aerie... ;)  Look for the baby raccoon in the tree in the last picture.  He got down safely!
